I hate using public restrooms. Most are unfortunately horribly designed, some with overly clever faucet and soap dispenser controls that lack obvious affordances.

One of the best public restrooms I've used is in the Marriott hotel downtown. There's no entrance door. Instead the walls are positioned in a way that they provide privacy while not requiring you to touch anything on the way out. Unfortunately this design is not common since it requires a bit more space.

Perhaps I should give up web design and get a job designing public restrooms instead. ;)
